ON A DIFFERENT NOTE

I think it’s about time to update this blog without focusing on the subject I’ve been focusing on for so long now. I need to start living my normal life again, need to get social and do things. And since we all know that shopping makes you feel heaps better, that’s exactly what we did last Saturday. We went shopping for clothes for the first time since half a year or so and I was quite successful. I got a pair of Levi’s at the outlet store and a pair of beige trousers at H&M. I so needed new trousers, since I lost weight the old ones felt baggy and were totally not a pretty sight to look at. Additionally I found a grey jacket for spring/autumn as well as a sweater for just 5 €.When it comes to work, I can only say that I have lot’s and lot’s to do at the moment, since all the economy stuff has been piling up on my desk. As nobody else felt like touching it in my absence, I’m working hard on getting the books closed and doing a lot of calculations on profit margins for the new budget etc.. Ok ok, I spare you the boring details.

In my spare time I’m planning on watching the German movie “The lives of others”, that recently won the Oscar for best foreign movie. Hopefully we get to see it this Friday and then maybe also have dinner in town. I really missed that! On Saturday we are invited at Gill and Carl’s to christen their new dining room furniture. I think that is gonna be a lot of fun, like always when our internationally mixed group meets up. Gosh I’ve been missing that a lot lately.

Speaking about dinner; we had a really nice one at home today, which is also extremely easy and fast to prepare whenever you come home tired and hungry from work. You just boil pasta (if you want to make it really nice you use fresh fettucine or the like) and make a sauce from 200 g cream, 3 tablespoons pesto genovese and 200 g cubed smoked salmon. That with some white wine was a really yummy treat today.
