Hello everybody! Welcome to my new home! I hope you’re all enjoying your weekend as much as we did.

On Friday night we went to our favourite Italian restaurant with our friends, where we had a fun night with lots of yummy food. On Saturday we slept in, did some work in the garden and hung out on the couch. It was a very lazy day, but that’s how Saturdays should be.

          

Sunday morning though saw us getting up with the birds at 6:15 am, to get ready for another geological excursion in the Gothenburg archipelago. It was -6 degrees Celsius when we left our house,  but as soon as the sun came out a wonderful day awaited us. David, our resident professor in geochemistry that treated us to this excursion, surely took his chances when selecting the date, because usually November is rainy and grey. But not this year; we were blessed with the most wonderful weather so far and today was no exception. Apart from really enjoying the nice walk in the sun we learned a lot again. Dave showed us around the island and pointed out a lot of interesting formations that make our area here so special.

And now the weekend is almost over, I’m going to make some dinner and then we are going to take a nice hot bath because even though the sun was shining, it was freezing cold! Well, and that will have been it, off into another week.
But it’s only 6 more to go until Christmas, so I guess that’s managable. Especially now that I booked our planetickets to Germany for Dec 21. I found a really good deal to Frankfurt, much cheaper than taking the ferry, but that also means less shopping .
