Here I am, back from what I could almost call vacation if it wouldn’t have been for the stressful hours at work. The weather changed abruptly last night though and now the fun in the sun couldn’t seem further away. At the moment the wind is blowing so hard, that I’m getting scared. All the trees in the garden are dried out and loosing their fruit in the storm. Hopefully it will rain a bit more soon since all the plants desperately need water. Preferably the rain will set in on Saturday morning
Otherwise the countdown for our big trip is definitely on now – in four days from now at this very hour we should be approaching DC, where we hopefully await a fast immigration process as we only have 2 hours until our flight to Orlando departs. I’m so looking forward to this vacation, well I’m having all reasons for it, don’t I? Tomorrow I have an appointment at the hairdresser and I’m still not entirely sure about what I want. Fact is that I don’t have a hairdresser here in Sweden: after two very unsatisfactory tries I let it be and now I am facing my appointment tomorrow not without some nervousness. But both Trenda and Michelle recommended Natalie, so I’m hoping for the best. Afterwards I’m going to meet Katrien to go through the accounting of our international club before the annual report is due. The last two nights before departure I’m trying to keep off for eventual overtime or that we can pack in peace and quiet, so that we don’t forget one or the other important piece of luggage.
Life in Sweden has been very sweet lately, too. We had a very nice BBQ with Ivonne, Jens, Hannah and Kiki, went to see the sunset at the Sea,

celebrated Anders’ birthday with a wonderful picnic in the park (where he and his wife broke the sweet news – another baby is on the way), went on a dressin ride in Dalsland before spending the weekend with J’s family in Värmland to celebrate his Dad’s birthday and tried out athletic rowing last night.

Afterwards we had a nice last BBQ before the bad weather hit us. Hard.
Now I’ll better get a load of washing done and work off some points on the to do list before Sweden is playing their first game tonight!
